Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox is an engaging app that is part of the Kahoot! Kids subscription. It offers young learners an excellent introduction to math and algebra. Even children as young as five can begin to understand the basics of solving linear equations in a fun and intuitive way, without even realizing they are learning.

How the Game Works
Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox covers several algebraic concepts, including addition, division, and multiplication. It is recommended for children aged five and up and offers them the chance to become familiar with equation solving.
The game uses a unique pedagogical method based on discovery and experimentation. Players learn to solve equations in a playful and colorful game environment that encourages experimentation and creativity. By manipulating cards and trying to isolate the DragonBox on one side of the game board, players gradually learn the operations required to isolate X on one side of an equation. As the game progresses, numbers and variables replace the cards, revealing the addition, division, and multiplication operators that players have been learning throughout.
The game does not require supervision during play, although parents can assist children in applying their acquired skills to solve equations on paper. It is an excellent game for parents to enjoy with their kids while also providing an opportunity for parents to freshen up their own math skills.
DragonBox was developed by former math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huynh and has been recognized as an outstanding example of game-based learning. It has formed the basis of an extensive research project by the Center For Game Science at the University of Washington.
